Kaleidophone
fall into this category of artistry. After birth in 2008, the Kent based band's first few months involved no music. No songs were written, no rehearsals had. The quartet dove into the building of the bands creative home, their studio, from the ground up.
Finally stepping into the small unit, a separate control room and the small lights of equipment blinking with electricity and anticipation.
Three years, two singles, and a record deal later, Kaleidophone retreated into hibernation once again this time with one objective in mind: their album.
Whats Your Tonic?
is what came out of those many months of radio silence from one of the most exciting new bands in the country. Mastered by John Davis (Florence and the Machine, Everything Everything), Whats Your Tonic?, is a fine album in which every track has its own unique charm and is equally as beautiful as the last.
2011 is the year that music has more to say, Kaleidophone are leading the trend.
